Augmentation Mastopexy

This patient is a woman in her early thirties who wore a 34C bra. She noticed decrease in the size of her breasts after having two children and wanted to enlarge them. Her breasts drooped enough that simply placing implants would have not filled out the excess skin.

She underwent mastopexy (removal of the excess breast skin and breast lift) in addition to submuscular placement of 280 cc high profile implants filled to 300 cc on each side.

The postoperative pictures demonstrate that the breasts are now larger and lifted. Her breasts are more symmetric now than they were before the operation. The photos are four months postoperative. The scars around the areolae will fade more over the next 8 months.

Mastopexy

This patient is a woman in her fifties who underwent gastric bypass and lost from 338 to 203 pounds. She was bothered by droop of the breasts. We considered breast reduction, but she did not want to remove enough breast tissue to qualify for an insurance covered breast reduction.

She underwent mastopexy (breast lift). This includes the removal of a significant amount of excess skin but minimal removal of breast tissue.

The postoperative pictures show that the breasts have been lifted. The size of the breasts is minimally changed, but their appearance is significantly different due to the lift. The postoperative photos were taken two months after surgery, so the scars are still red, but they will fade over the next several months.

Mastopexy

This patient is a woman in her twenties who underwent gastric bypass and lost 127 pounds, going from 285 to 158 pounds. She was bothered by droop of the breasts but was happy with the size.

She underwent mastopexy (breast lift) to lift the breasts.

The postoperative pictures show that the size of the breasts is minimally changed, but they have been lifted into their proper position. The redundancy around the belly button is also decreased, but that is due to abdominoplasty. The postoperative photos were taken two months after surgery, so the scars are still red, but they will fade over the next several months.
